Pugin Singers Musical Director

Harry Hitchen, the Director of The Pugin Singers, trained at the Royal Northern College of Music. He holds the post of organist and Musical Director of St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Stafford and is a freelance performer and teacher. Harry plays oboe, piano and organ and during his career he has both played and conducted on BBC radio and television. Harry is Head of Curriculum Music for the City Music School, Stoke on Trent.

Accompanists

The Pugin Singers' regular accompanist is Geoffrey Walker, an Oxford organ scholar and Director of the Ceramic City Choir. He is an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and former Director of Music at Newcastle-under-Lyme School.

For some performances the Pugin Singers are joined by a small string ensemble of local musicians and have also engaged the talents of two exceptional local pianists Jennifer Hames and Nina Lasseter.
